Part P Compliance Course (Fuse Spurs)

ACT Meters Ltd provides essential training for any tradesperson - from electricians, plumbers to alarm installers - who wish to undertake electrical work on domestic properties. Under today’s law, such electrical work must be certified by a 'competent person'. Any tradesperson who fails to adhere to the requirements are committing an offence and are liable to be fined.

By attending this specially designed award-winning course, the candidate will learn to work safely and efficiently with the industry's current codes of practice. This course has been judged as the most leading and accredited training scheme on offer for those employed in the security and fire industry who are required to install, service and maintain low volt electrical systems.

All candidates who attend this course will gain hands-on experience and gain competence in use of approved test equipment, installing, testing, extending and modifying electrical circuits and completing small/minor works certificates.

The day is divided into two sessions. In the first, you'll learn about the current Acts, regulations and standards. In the second, there will be a practical session on using test meters for inspections. The course will finish with a summary, test and certificates being issued to prove you a deemed a 'competent' person.

The course is recognised by the Alarm Inspectorates and is deemed to be a requirement under the Electricity at Work Regulations, 1989. Course dates for 2008 are planned for:
