• Simulates a full 20 hour battery discharge test in just six seconds
• No buttons or complicated settings
• Automatically displays ambient temperature, DC voltage and Ampere hour capacity left in a battery
• Warns when battery voltage is too high or too low and determines when batteries need replacing or recharging
• Tests 12 volt SLA and car batteries ranging from 1.2Ah to 200Ah
• Pocket-sized, accurate and easy to use
The Problem…
Battery manufacturers recommend to recharge or replace a battery when its rated Ampere-hour (Ah) capacity falls below 65%. But how can this be established when a multimeter only measures the battery voltage?
The Solution…
The award-winning GOLD-IBT Intelligent Battery Tester from ACT Meters solves this problem by simulating a 20 hour discharge test in 6 seconds -without flattening the battery. Designed to test 12Volt SLA and Car batteries from 1.2Ah – 200Ah, the GOLD-IBT Intelligent Battery Tester automatically:
1) Displays ambient temperature, DC Voltage and Ampere-hour (Ah) Capacity available in the battery
2) Warns if battery voltage is too high or low
The user can then compare results alongside the meter’s Ah measurement table to determine when the battery needs to be recharged or replaced.
The GOLD-IBT Intelligent Battery Tester is quick, accurate and has no switches or complicated settings. A solution in identifying batteries that need to be recharged or replaced according to prevailing conditions – irrespective of how long they have been in use.
How it works...
The GOLD-IBT Intelligent Battery Tester is not a load tester nor does it measure resistance or conductance. Instead it works by applying a pulsed frequency to the battery under test. The patented neural net software analyses the chemistry of the battery during this process and provides a direct reading in Amps/Hr. The design took many months to complete and accuracy was assured by performing a full 20 hour discharge test on hundreds of batteries and comparing results.
