Designed to meet BS EN 50131 requirements, the DSL Broadband Filter enables analogue alarm signals to operate securely on broadband / DSL lines. The filter provides terminal connections to be wired directly to the master phone socket and alarm equipment and is suitable for Redcare, digital communicators and speech dialers.
Installers should inform clients considering upgrading to broadband that communication may be lost and insurance cover compromised if a line seizing the DSL filter is not fitted to the alarm system. To comply with BS EN 50131 enabling line seizure, the filter should be installed within the alarm control equipment and wired to the master socket as follows:
