The ACT-4201 4-Zone Opto - Isolator is designed to prevent false alarms by optically isolating troublesome zones from the control panel. The most common causes of false alarms not due to detector activation are:
• High/unstable circuit resistance
• Potential shorts between zones
• Moisture ingression to earth
• Zone corruption caused by EMI/RFI signals
By fitting an opto-isolator, the only thing connecting troublesome zones to the control panel is light!
