PIR Stabiliser - Prevents phantom alarms and unnecessary replacement of non-faulty PIRs
RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) tends to cause phantom alarms on the same PIR or detector. It is caused by a specific cable length acting as an aerial which passes the signal from the 12 volt supply onto sensitive components within a detector. RFI causes the PIR relay to 'chatter' or 'drop-out' altogether resulting in a phantom alarm.
The 1376 PIR Stabiliser should be fitted inside (or if corner mounted, in the recess behind) the troublesome detector and the 12VDC supply connected through it. The stabiliser is quick and easy to install and prevents unneccessary replacement of non-faulty PIRs.
