The NETcat Pro is a highly effective cable tester, designed for fast, accurate checking of cables, wiring and network servicing. This touch-screen operated tool will conduct a broad range of tests from fault finding to TDR length measurement quickly and accurately.
The NETcat Pro cable tester enables installers to:
• Test a range of cables including shielded and unshielded twist pair, electrical, alarm and coaxial
• Measure cable length and distance to any short or break
• Detect opens, reversed, crossed and split pairs
• Test wiring continuity and proper pair allocation
• Trace low loss cables such as Cat 5 using a multi-tone tracing facility that generates four distinct, precision tones
• Identify and troubleshoot network devices and display their capabilities
The NETcat Pro cable tester is operated using a touch screen display with contrast adjustment and backlight. English, Spanish, French and German languages can be selected. It operates using a single 9 volt battery and comes with a low battery indicator.
NC-510 Accessory Kit
When used with the seven expansion remote test modules found in the NC-510 Accessory Kit, the NETcat Pro cable tester can uniquely test shielded or unshielded twisted pair and coaxial cables from a central location eight at a time.
Its remote units uniquely identify each jack, and provide full wire-map and fault display in addition to the length of each pair.
